TIMELINE

In 2018, we started our journey towards a more responsible future. The motivation came from an internal desire and a discussion that fostered our aspiration to become a better brand. A brand that looks beyond making profit and views other values, such as environmental impact and ethical supply chains with equal importance. One year later we were able to offer our first styles containing organic, recycled, and cellulose fibers.

2019

ESSENTIALLY BETTER ESSENTIALS
We started our fiber development by converting conventional fibers in our Essentials collection to organic, recycled, and cellulose fibers. In less than a year, we were able to relaunch the Essentials collection with deliberate responsible choices made for each style.

2020

FIBER DEVELOPMENT
With our enriched fiber knowledge, we extended our use of organic, recycled, and cellulose fibers to our four annual collections.

RENEWABLE ENERGY
With focus on expanding our responsible approach to other parts of our company, we started using renewable energy at internal offices.

EFFICIENT WASTE MANAGEMENT
Developed an internal waste management system for textile recycling and sorting of hard plastic, soft plastic, glass, bio waste, used cardboard and paper.

2021

IMPACT 01 RE:MADE
As part of a project testing a new sustainability supporting technology, we introduced our first ever recycled collection, remade from obsolete Minimum stock and organic cotton (fifty-fiftby blend) in a fully mechanical process with no use of chemicals.

BLOCKCHAIN
To create more transparency, we tested the blockchain technology on our IMPACT 01 RE:MADE collection. All hangtags of the styles are added a QR-code linking to the full recycling production. When scanning, the exact style is shown followed by all steps of the mechanical recycling process, the factory address, and our organic cotton certification.

MATERIAL STRATEGY
We defined our material strategy focusing on an increase in the use of organic, recycled, and cellulose fibers to be applied to all collections. The strategy is set towards 2030.

2022

SUPPLIER MAPPING
With an increased focus on transparency, we started the process of mapping out our Tier 1 suppliers.

UPDATED CODE OF CONDUCT
We updated our Code of Conduct and added two more separate policies Human Rights Policy and Environmental Policy (also embedded in our Code of Conduct) read, agreed with, and signed by our suppliers.

GOTS CERTIFICATION
We achieved our GOTS-certification with a successful first audit. From early 2023, we will start to launch styles with GOTS-certified organic cotton.

IMPACT 02 RE:MADE
As we continuously collect and sort our samples, swatches and obsolete stock, a next batch of old Minimum styles were ready to be put into the shredding machines at our circular partner factory.
